Carlos Garaicoa Manso (Cuba, 1967; lives and works between Havana and Madrid)
Through the study of architecture, urbanism and history he employs a multidisciplinary approach towards cultural and political issues. The different media/techniques include installation, video, photography, sculpture, pop-up book and drawings.

Was co-curator of the show and theoretical event Las Metáforas del Templo in 1993, together with Esterio Segura. Led the curatorial project La Casa de la Comedia, an alternative gallery open between 1993-1994. In 2008 curated the show Lança Cuba, at Gentil Carioca, Río de Janeiro, Brazil. From 2007 to the present organizes an Open Studio show once a year at his studio in Madrid with the idea of showing the work of talented young artists.
