More about Hard Labour
Kaoru Katayama lives in Spain since 1992, her work explores issues related to her position as a foreigner and the fact that she has two different cultural backgrounds.
Her video performance “Hard Labour” shows a group of construction workers practice movements of traditional Japanese gymnastics (Radio Gym). The recording was made outside working hours.
