New wildlife (a French garden) is a work that combines artistic, sociological and geographical strategies. The creative process is activated from the formation of a workshop with a group of colaborators who perform a series of urban expeditions. Each participant is given a notebook and a disposable camera. The workshop, taught by the artist, consists in the development of techniques of observation and reflection. In this case, the area of investigation is the Roma Colony, the site where is MUCA Roma is located, where each participant produces mind maps, photo documentation and field notes, among others. It proposes a social and economic observation of the communities from that area take for model the naturalist expeditions in America and museification as an aditional strategy to generate signs whose references are exterior to the world of art.
