More about Creencias (Beliefs)
This painting was made at the original size of the book “Creencias de Nuestros Antepasados” by Maruch Santiz Gomez. The book consists of black and white photographs that portray the traditional beliefs of San Juan Chamula in Chiapas. It was published in three languages and co-edited by the Centro de la Imagen, CIESAS and Casa de las Imágenes in 1998.
