The Actual State of an Object

Maria Sosa and Noé Martinez sold in a street market of Morelia the Golden Calf Collection, a series of miniature objects that mimic some of the most valued works by the international contemporary art market and that mostly are accessible to the vast majority through reproductions. The current state of an object reviews the testimonial fate and the poetic destiny of the objects sold from this informal collection. While the artists performed a photographic documentation of the current status of its collection, they generated a serie of stories that attempt point at the research and trail of the objects as the work in itself.
