More about Au bord de mer (To the Sea Shore)

The video Au Bord de Mer is a journey through the E-1027 house designed and built by Eileen Gray who is transformed into interior landscape spaces with a poetic and subjective quality, a dreamlike atmosphere that coexists with the solidity and permanence of the elements while it naturalizes living spaces: the sea, the sun. The sound of water dragging stones and light that bathes the interior of the house is a presence unaltered by time that contrasts with the building materials aged by the passing years. The place and the rooms are dilated by the simultaneous evocation of presence and absence to gradually evolving into a landscape of memory. The scenes are void of people in a way to state an absence, an invisible topography that emerges through memory and symbolism.
